Even though Kobe Bryant is no longer with us, he will always live on in the memories of many people as an NBA player and Los Angeles Lakers legend. And in the mind of his widow, Vanessa Bryant, he’s particularly present.

The two would have celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Thursday. Vanessa posted touching old pictures of them together on the fourth anniversary that she had to spend alone.

Natalia Bryant, their daughter, really shared the photo. Kobe is seen in the picture sporting one of his first pairs of Adidas signature sneakers. Thus, we can conclude that the image most likely dates from the early 2000s.

It demonstrates the depth of Kobe’s love for Vanessa and provides an intimate look at the romantic side of Kobe that many of us were not able to witness while he was a player.
