This past weekend, Draya Michele and Jalen Green celebrated the impending birth of their first child together by throwing a baby shower.

The NBA player, 22, and the 39-year-old Basketball Wives star coordinated matching red ensembles for their cherry-themed party on Sunday. The baby girl’s due date is in May, as she disclosed in her pregnancy announcement earlier this month.


She showed off her baby bump while modeling a red crop top and matching miniskirt in video that The Shade Room was able to obtain.


The shooting guard for the Houston Rockets coordinated with the theme, wearing a button-down shirt with matching pants and stripes in red and white.

The couple, who have drawn criticism for their 17-year age difference, publicly acknowledged their relationship for the first time since they were first connected a year ago with the help of the videos from their baby shower.
The couple welcomed their loved ones with a cherry-adorned poster board surrounded by burgundy balloons at their baby shower.

Under the post, some social media users gushed about Michele’s outfit, while others wished for a healthy delivery and most criticized their large age difference.

The media personality, who is only one year younger than Green, is already a mother to a son, Kniko, age 21, as he gets ready to become a father for the first time.


She also has a seven-year-old son named Jru with her 37-year-old ex-NFL player Orlando Scandrick.

Michele previously shared the news of her pregnancy on Instagram in a post from March.

While she refrained from identifying Green as the biological father of her child, Kyle Kuzma, a forward for the Washington Wizards, did mention him in a comment and offered his congratulations.

She wrote as the caption for her maternity shoot photos, “If anything can surpass the wonder of being a woman, it’s the privilege of bringing another woman into existence.”


She wrote, “We are overjoyed to share our love for you, little girl,” speaking directly to her infant daughter. I can’t wait to talk to the daughter I never imagined having.
“We are anxious for your arrival, but please take your time—this world can be difficult,” she continued. However, be aware that you are entering a place of adornment, security, and love.

The hashtags “#28weeks #7months #comingMay2024 #girlmom” were used by her to wrap up her post.


Before calling off their wedding in 2019, Michele was previously engaged to Scandrick, the father of her youngest son.

She initially gained notoriety in 2011 when she began dating singer Chris Brown; they broke up after nine months, but they are still friends today.
