Nikola Jokić’s brother reportedly involved in altercation after Lakers-Nuggets game

Following the Denver Nuggets’ tҺrilling 101-99 NBA playoff victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, a man reportedly related to club star Nikola Jokić’s siblings was spotted assaulting a spectator. The NBA and Denver police are investigating the incident.

The man is shown in videos released by TMZ and other media platforms getting up on seats to approach someone else at Ball Arena, after which he smacks them in the face. Just after the Nuggets finished their comeback from a 20-point deficit to take a 2-0 lead in the first-round series, according to TMZ, an incident broke out on Monday night.

According to an NBA official on Tuesday, the league is investigating the situation.

In an email to the Associated Press, the Denver police media relations unit stated that while it is looking into the event, it was not reported to the police at the arena or following the game.

The email stated, “As of right now, no one has come forward as a victim of this incident.” “The Department is actively investigating this incident and trying to identify the person who was struck in the video. Anyone who was there or saw it happen firsthand is encouraged to get in touch with the Denver Police Department.”
