LA Lakers power forward and eight-time All-Star player Dwight Howard gives a tour of his $8.8 million USD estate in Atlanta on the most recent episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger. The property spans 35,000 square feet of land. The estate has a gigantic 14-car garage, three wash rooms, and five kitchens.
As he shows Bensinger around his yard, the NBA player remarks, “I can’t believe I have a home like this.” “I literally don’t take anything for granted and I enjoy every single moment, no matter what it is because I didn’t have much growing up.” With 15 acres of property to manage, Howard claims to have one “amazing” person who takes care of everything.
Inside, Howard displays his exotic snake collection, which includes some species that reach up to 25 feet in length. “Only three times have I been bitten,” he grinned. “It wasn’t even painful!” After that, the two discuss how the Lakers player’s purple Rolls Royce, which Howard claims to be his favorite character from The Avengers, served as inspiration. Howard says, “He was able to understand that he had to let go of his emotions in order for him to finish his mission.” And that’s what we all find most difficult.
Howard’s walls are covered in luxury automobiles, exotic snakes, and signed basketball shirts from his favorite players. He also has superhero memorabilia, framed still photos, and the original Nike sneakers from Back to the Future. In addition, he displays his gold medal from the 2008 Olympics, which he always travels with him.
The complete video is shown above, and it concludes with Howard and Bensinger playing one-on-one on the NBA player’s home court.
