The Phoenix Suns secured a commanding 97-87 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night, propelled by strong performances from Grayson Allen and Kevin Durant. 

The Suns surged to a 15-0 lead early in the game, setting the tone for their dominant display.

Allen led the scoring with 23 points, supported by Durant’s 22 points contribution. Bradley Beal added 14 points to the Suns’ tally, while Devin Booker showcased his playmaking skills with 13 points and 13 assists. Jusuf Nurkic, despite being a game-time decision due to injury, made a significant impact with 11 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists.

The Suns’ defensive effort was particularly noteworthy, with Allen highlighting it as one of their best communication games of the season. The team’s strong defensive performance was key in limiting the Timberwolves’ scoring opportunities and securing the victory..

Minnesota struggled offensively throughout the game, with Anthony Edwards facing tough defense from Durant and managing only 17 points. Nickell Alexander-Walker was the only other Timberwolves player to reach double figures, scoring 13 points.

Both teams faced challenges with turnovers, but the Suns capitalized on the Timberwolves’ mistakes, scoring 24 points off turnovers.

With the win, the Suns maintained their position at sixth in the Western Conference, while the Timberwolves, tied with Denver for the best record in the West, will look to bounce back in their next game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Suns will host the New Orleans Pelicans in their next matchup as they aim to continue their winning momentum.
