Paul George Drops $16 Million on DeAndre Jordan’s Former L.A. Home

Despite being transferred to the Los Angeles Clippers less than two months ago, NBA player Paul “PG-13” George and his longtime partner Daniela Rajic appear to love living in Palmdale, California, so much that they are already improving their local living conditions. Documents show that George paid over $16.1 million for a three-story mansion with an elevator in Pacific Palisades, on the opulent Westside of Los Angeles.

It turns out that the mansion in question in Palisades has a history of celebrities. The mansion has already changed hands three times in late 2014, despite having just been built five years earlier. The enormous mansion was sold to local hedge funder Curtis Macnguyen for a million dollars after fellow NBA star and former Clipper DeAndre Jordan paid $12.7 million for it back in late 2015. Despite living there for less than six months, Jordan put the property up for sale.
Although it’s unclear if Macnguyen, who also owns a portfolio of other pricey properties in Los Angeles, ever lived in the opulent building, he did make a tidy $4.3 million profit before realtor fees and taxes when he flipped the residence to George in an off-market transaction earlier this month.

The highly sought-after Riviera neighborhood nook is home to this massive Cape Cod-style home, which was built on spec by renowned developer Ramtin Ray Nosrati of Huntington Estate Properties. It boasts over 10,000 square feet of living area, seven bedrooms, and ten bathrooms. The interior of the house features a stunning wall of disappearing glass Fleetwood sliders, a temperature-controlled wine room, and formal living and dining rooms that are well-proportioned.

The entryway, with its lofty ceiling and elegantly arching staircase, established the style for the rest of the house, which likewise boasts an open layout, intricate wood paneling, vaulted ceilings, and hardwood flooring all around. The hedonistic master bedroom features an own terrace with expansive views that extend to the Pacific Ocean, a sitting space, and a master bathroom reminiscent of a spa. The mini-estate’s backyard, which includes a half-court basketball court, an outdoor kitchen, a swimmer’s pool with a waterfall feature, and a putting green, is also directly visible from the patio.

The underground bottom level has an indoor spa area with a second pool, a gym, and plenty of room for massage tables. It also has a games room/lounge and an old-world-inspired home theater with tiered seating and lots of wood paneling.

Naturally, this is by no means George’s first rodeo in the L.A. real estate market. In July 2016, when he was still under contract with the Indiana Pacers, he paid $7.4 million for a mansion the size of a warehouse in the renowned Hidden Hills neighborhood. That San Fernando Valley colossus weighs in at a hefty 16,000 square feet of living area, complete with an outside basketball court, all for a lot less money than his new Palisades quarters. Several members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Drake, Howie Mandel, and Vin Scully—who also happens to reside just next door—are among his neighbors in the adjacent Hidden Hills.
