Then he dove into the water and struck a pose while flaunting his massive, tattooed physique in a pair of dark surf shorts.
The famous athlete, who recently signed a huge $90 million endorsement contract with Nike, was also spotted paddling a paddle board.
He once displayed his strength for a single female fan before leading a throng of admirers out of the water.
The celebrity, who has become a cult legend in his chosen city, looked to be having a great time filming the advertisement.
LeBron, who made $56.5 million in 2013, overtook Kobe Bryant as the highest paid basketball player, resides in the upscale Coconut Grove neighborhood of the city.
LeBron Jr., age eight, and Bryce, age six, are his two children from his high school girlfriend Savannah Brinson. The couple will getting married in San Diego the following month.
