The Phoenix Suns faced a tough defeat on the road, falling 128-103 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. Despite the absence of injured MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder delivered a dominant performance, sweeping the Suns in their three-game season series.

Leading the charge for Oklahoma City was Kevin Durant, who put up an impressive 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting. 

On the other side, Phoenix’s Big 3 of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal struggled to find their rhythm in the second half, contributing just two and four points respectively.

The Suns’ offense faltered, shooting a mere 16-of-44 from the field, including a disappointing 6-of-23 from beyond the arc.

In contrast, the Thunder maintained their offensive prowess throughout the game, shooting 56.3% overall and knocking down 16-of-30 attempts from 3-point range.

Standout performances from Josh Giddey, who scored 23 points, and Rookie of the Year candidate Chet Holmgren, with 20 points, propelled Oklahoma City to victory.

With the outcome all but decided, Suns coach Frank Vogel opted to pull out his starters with 7:34 left to play, conceding the loss to the Thunder.
