Chris Paul is a member of the Golden State Warriors officially.

The question now is whether Paul will start in a small-ball lineup with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson or come off the bench.

Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that the 12-time All-Star is certain he can get things started with the splash brothers.

When he denied rumors that he will start at point guard for the Warriors this season during his first press conference in Vegas on Sunday, it’s safe to say that he understood precisely what he was doing.

“Paul is clearly hoping to start, no matter what happens next—and no, people—in a small lineup alongside Steph Curry and/or Klay Thompson instead of in their place.”

Paul, 38, averaged 13.9 points, 8.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 44% from the field and 38% from outside the arc in the previous campaign.
