Riley, Ryan, and Canon’s parents, Ayesha and Stephen Curry, are expecting a new child: “We set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”

Riley, 11, Ryan, 8, and Canon, 5, are the couple’s current children. They are expecting their fourth child together.


Ayesha, 34, wrote, “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done,” in an essay published on March 1 in Sweet July Magazine. “We made the decision to stop after three and not do this again. Then, after exchanging glances for a year, we decided to try this again. My decision was influenced by the fact that I could never stop glancing around and felt as though someone was missing. I used to worry, “Oh, I forgot something,” when I was packing the car, but no one was overlooked.”


The author of Seasoned Life observed that the emotion began to “turn her brain a little bit.”

“Perhaps someone was absent,” she went on. “So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”
She said, “To start with, I’m incredibly busy in ways I wasn’t before.” “My current children are older now, and we have to juggle their busy schedules and full lives on a daily basis in addition to our jobs and other family obligations. That has given this event a new, intriguing dimension. In addition, I’m noticing how rapidly our first three kids have grown up and are now independent, needing less of us.”

In her own words, “Canon asked me, ‘Hey, Mommy, how’s your baby?'” the other day. Does your infant’s brain function properly? It’s been so amazing to see this from his eyes as well as Ryan and Riley’s. Their ages and life stages are so dissimilar. It’s been the most interesting thing because of how diverse their opinions are.”
As Ayesha pointed out, the most significant distinction is realizing how swiftly time may pass.


“That’s encouraged me to slow down and take in every single little thing,” she said, “especially with it being my last pregnancy.”

Ayesha, the 35-year-old star of the Golden State Warriors, said she’s always telling herself to take it easy. She and the other player are eager to welcome their newest member when the time comes.

“I’ve made it a point to not be hard on myself,” she said, summarizing the trip. “This time around, I’m giving myself grace.”
