The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry recently appeared on “CBS This Morning” to promote his new children’s book, “I Am Extraordinary.” During the interview, Curry answered a question regarding his goals beyond basketball. It appeared like politics would be on the menu. Curry said, “I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can so if that’s the way to do it,” in response to a question regarding his potential post-retirement presidential bid. Ayesha Curry, their wife, agrees that using their power for the greater good is a wonderful idea, but she finds the political aspect to be “scary.”

“I’m not going to say the presidency but if politics is a way that you can create meaningful change or if there’s another way outside of politics,” Chef Curry said in the interview. Curry, who has always been a smooth operator, didn’t exactly announce his candidacy for president. He did, however, make a suggestion about a time when his impact will go beyond the three-point line.

Ever the calm person, wife Ayesha apparently found the prospect of becoming president a little intimidating (presumably due to the pressures of a campaign trail). Curry would not, however, totally reject the notion. He laughed and responded, “Not that soon,” when asked about a 2028 candidacy.The highlights of this Sunday’s 15th Oakland Marathon, which was organized by Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat. Learn.
