It’s LeBron James who makes history!
James, 39, made NBA history on Saturday when he scored his 40,000th point in the second quarter of the Lakers’ game against the Nuggets.
James celebrated reaching the milestone by posting a video from the game and a collage of photos to Instagram with the caption “1 of 1 “.
During LeBron James’ momentous moment, “LeBron James 40,000 points” flashed on displays throughout the Crypto.com Arena. In a film that was published on X (previously known as Twitter), the audience went crazy in celebration.
Before the Nuggets’ 124-114 victory over the Lakers on Saturday, the athlete needed nine points to reach the milestone. James finished the game with 26 points.
James became the all-time best scorer in NBA history when he scored 38,390 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder in February of last year.
James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had held the mark for the previous 76 years, with the historic point. James celebrated the milestone at the time by posing with a sign that read “Feb. 7, 2023” and the number 38,390.
James was formally given the record by Abdul-Jabbar, who had held it for almost forty years.
“LeBron was the ideal candidate to complete the task. “He worked hard for it and earned it,” Abdul-Jabbar remarked following the match.
