This Father’s Day, Stephen Curry is receiving a lot of love from his family.
The 35-year-old Golden State Warriors player was honored in a sentimental Instagram post by his wife Ayesha, 34, and their three children. The post included pictures of the accomplished NBA player alongside son Canon, 4, and daughters Riley, 10, and Ryan, 7.
“Chooch, happy father’s day! We adore you a great deal. Raising these three tiny humans with my best friend is way too much fun, and you bring so much excitement, joy, and wisdom to the experience!” I wrote, Ayesha.
“I am so proud of you,” she continued. I love seeing you with our children so much. It’s time to celebrate by opening up a large wave and riding it down the fairway.”During a game in April, the athlete set aside time for a unique moment with Riley. She was in the crowd when her dad lead the Sacramento Kings to victory.
Following the triumph, Curry approached Riley in the stands and extended his hand to give her the traditional handshake the two have shared for many years.
Curry and Riley were spotted in February going to Stanford University, the home of his godsister Cameron Brink, to watch the women’s basketball team play the University of Southern California. It was a father-daughter outing. The four-time NBA champion talked to E! News about his kids during the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards in December of last year.
Curry, the evening’s honoree, was asked if his kids are “impressed” with him “as other people are.” He replied, “I would hope to say yes but probably for different reasons.” The number of times the ball is put in the basket doesn’t seem to concern them all that much.
The father of three went on, “They like the celebration of a championship since they’ve attended a few parades and such. The nicest thing about being at home, though, is that you’re just Dad.”
