Despite the fact that he has constructed an outdoor sanctuary at his home in the vicinity of Sacramento, California, a young NBA star is getting ready to sell the stunning property.
Following his selection by the Sacramento Kings in the 2018 NBA Draft, Marvin Bagley III, a forward for the Detroit Pistons, made the purchase of the roughly two-acre property located in the Elk Grove, California area.
Prospective purchasers have emerged in large numbers in response to the listed price of $1,995,000. A pending sale listing has already been created for the property.
“We have multiple offers on it, and we’re just waiting for the right one to come in,” says Matthew Hindy, who is the listing agent for the property at Re/Max Gold Fair Oaks.
The Kings used the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft to choose Bagley, who stands 6 feet 11 inches tall and is a member of Duke. In February of 2022, the Kings made the decision to sell him to Detroit after he had spent three and a half seasons in Sacramento.
Since Bagley purchased the house five years ago, Hindy has been able to observe the extensive changes that the athlete has made to the property.
“In addition to a full-court basketball court that is NBA-sized and features bleachers and a scoreboard, it also features a jumbotron that is waterproof and is located in the backyard,” explains Hindy.
A television that is embedded in a tree is part of the outdoor grilling area, which also features a kitchen that is located close to the swimming pool. According to Hindy, investments of around $300,000 were made on the upgrades and amenities of the outdoor space.
Within the wide property that is totally fenced in, there are two residences that are concealed behind three gates. The land is also set aside for the purpose of housing livestock.
A statement made by Hindy is that “You can actually have livestock.” It is similar to having an own oasis resort in your backyard because you are able to keep animals such as goats, horses, and dogs.
The main house is 4,500 square feet in size and features five bedrooms and a Mediterranean-style design.
“One of the rooms was converted into a theater with full blackout shades and reclining seats,” says Hindy. He also mentions that three further bedrooms feature walk-in closets and en suite bathrooms inside of them.
On the land, there is a smaller home that is roughly 2,300 square feet in size. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large amount of living space.
“Multi-generational families with in-laws who want to live with them,” as suggested by Hindy, are the perfect candidates for this arrangement. For example, parents who have older children and grandkids and who want to live in close proximity to one another but not necessarily in the same house will be considered.
In addition, the individualized scoreboard and the enormous outside television are both included in the deal.
“It’s in a class all by itself,” Hindy says. It never happens like that. In most cases, it would be an outdoor television, but this particular one is perhaps eight feet by ten feet in proportion. You are able to connect a PlayStation or Xbox and play any game… with full surround sound throughout the entire property.
According to Hindy, an estate of this kind is not very frequent in the peaceful suburb that is located south of the city. And this arrangement is ideal for the person who takes pleasure in hosting gatherings at their residence.
“Unless you are hungry, there is no reason to leave,” he explains. “It is one of those properties where there is no reason to leave.” It is complete in every way.
