Kevin Durant apologizes to LeBron James for thinking he had already turned 40

When Durant talked to reporters before Thursday’s game, he played down the fact that the last time they played was five years ago. He did, however, praise James’s long string of great play, calling the 21-year veteran “one of the top two basketball players of all time.”

For Durant, the fact that James is one of the best players on the court every night is even more impressive when you consider how old James is. “Even more so at age 40,” Durant said.Kendrick Perkins said that LeBron James is one of the “top two players of all time” when he was asked about their first regular season game since Christmas 2018. go to headtopics.com

James is 38 years old, not 37. On December 30, he’ll be 39 years old. That means 40 years old is still about 14 months away. Still, James is near enough for Durant’s point to be true. It’s amazing that James is still playing at such a high level at an age when most players either play less important roles or retire. The Lakers want to. Don’t get too excited and add 40 candles to LeBron’s birthday cake yet. Durant, who is 35 years old now, might feel the same way about his age in a few years.
