Who you got? Stockton hoop coaches pick who will win Kings-Warriors playoff matchup

The contest for NorCal is already decided. The NBA Playoffs’ first round matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors is scheduled for this Saturday at the Golden 1 Center.

Drawings are being made since Stockton is positioned between the two cities. Are you betting on the 2022 defending champions or the Beam Team? Local boys basketball coaches were questioned by The Record on who was winning the series and why.

Steph Curry and the Warriors - who have won four NBA Finals since 2015 - face the Sacramento Kings - who are making their first playoff appearance since 2006 - in the first round.
(Coaches are arranged alphabetically.)

Edison and Diondre Hawthorne

Six kings. They are younger, hungry, and hot, really. They have the home-court edge and are equally as famous as the Warriors, according to Hawthorne.

The only coach who has the Kings winning the series is Edison’s head coach. Although he doesn’t have a strong affinity for any one NBA club, he is excited about the matchup in the city.

Venture Academy’s Eric King

King insisted that the series would be won by the Warriors in six games. The coach of Venture Academy has always supported the Laker team, but he also likes the way the Dubs play.

“The basketball is good.” It’s the proper way to play the game,” King said. “I believe they will split these first two games, and the Warriors will most likely return home and win two straight.” Sacramento will battle to tie the game at three, but the Warriors will easily defeat them the next night.

Lincoln, Anthony Matthews

Growing up, Matthew cheered for the Warriors and every other San Francisco sports club due to his connections to Oakland and the Bay Area. He predicts the Warriors will win the series in six games, just as King did.

He said, “It’s a win-win situation either way because I’m a NorCal guy.” “I’d be curious to see how the chemistry is with Andrew Wiggins returning for the Warriors. However, I believe they are quite adept at managing little adjustments.

Podesta Nicholas, Weston Ranch

Podesta has been a fan of the Warriors since he was a little child, therefore he also predicts them to defeat the Kings in the first round.

“Being a fan of the Warriors, it goes without saying that I will choose them. I predict that the Warriors will destroy them in game five, according to Podesta.

At Mountain House, Reno Ursal

Out of the five coaches, Ursal could be the greatest admirer of the Warriors since he has a Dubs season ticket till 2021. Like King and Matthews, the head coach of the Mustangs predicts the Warriors to win the series in six games.

“The Dubs will win in game six at the Chase Center, and I think this series will be exciting,” Ursal said. But the Kings will be closely contested. They had the best offensive unit, and the Warriors, I believe, came in second. Those that prioritize defense will emerge victorious.
