With 22 points from Kevin Durant and 24 points from Grayson Allen, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 123-113 on Sunday in the latter part of the fourth quarter.
With three minutes remaining, the Suns led 116-104 after to 3-pointers from Allen and Royce O’Neale on consecutive possessions. Jusuf Nurkic contributed seven assists, 22 rebounds, and 18 points.
Late in the first quarter, the Lakers were down by 20 points; but, by the end of the third quarter, they had narrowed the gap to 92-90. Phoenix answered with six more baskets and never looked back in the fourth.
LeBron James scored 28 points on 12 of 19 shots, dished out 12 assists, and led the Lakers. Anthony Davis finished with 14 rebounds and 22 points.
At least 20 points were scored by four Phoenix starters, while the Suns dominated the glass 51–34. O’Neale added 20 points, while Devin Booker scored 21. Bol Bol scored 11 points off the bench in 24 minutes.
