LeBron James and Anthony Davis Reach a Record 29 Combined All-Star Appearances

In the most high-scoring game to date, the National Basketball Association’s All-Star game took place on Sunday evening in Indianapolis. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were both a part of the Western Conference side that was defeated by the Eastern Conference by a score of 211-186.

In light of the fact that it was LeBron James’s record-setting 20th appearance, his presence as a starter is even more extraordinary. In the National Basketball Association, the great majority of players never make it to an All-Star game. However, LeBron James has been selected for each and every one of those games since 2004, surpassing fellow Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19) and Kobe Bryant (18).

It is possible that LeBron James was more focused on the remaining games of the Lakers season and the potential for his younger Western teammates to play more. ImageAs a result, he restricted his playing time to only 14 minutes, during which he scored eight points, grabbed four boards, and assisted and assisted on three other players. It was Davis’ ninth All-Star game, and he was nine years younger than LeBron James at the time. There are only 43 players in the history of the NBA who have received more nods than AD.

Even though Davis was satisfied to let his teammates have the most of the offensive opportunities in a game with little defense, he still managed to score six points, eight boards, and eight assists in the 23 minutes that he played.Prior to the return of the regular season on Thursday at Golden State, both players will now have the opportunity to refresh themselves for a few days.
