Steph Curry reveals he is ‘NOWHERE near picking up a basketball’ after injuring his shoulder in a huge blow to the Golden State Warriors who have lost three from four without him

Steph Curry, the star of the Golden State Warriors, said that he would likely need some time to heal from a shoulder injury before playing again.

Following his collision with Jalen Smith of the Pacers on December 14, the defending Finals MVP injured himself in a defeat to Indiana. The next day, the Warriors said they would be without Curry for “a few weeks.”

During Tuesday’s TNT broadcast of Golden State’s 132-94 defeat to the New York Knicks, the 34-year-old gave an update on his recuperation, but it was not the encouraging news that Golden State supporters had hoped for. Curry said that he wasn’t even prepared to pick up a basketball, much less play again.

I find this one fascinating simply because I haven’t had a shoulder issue like this. Thus, we’re just going to have to wait and see,” Curry said from the Madison Square Garden sidelines.

I’m still in the early stages of my recovery, so I’m not even close to getting back into the basketball game. The Warriors have lost two of their previous three games sans Curry and are now on a 1-4 road trip.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry revealed he is a long way off returning to courtAlthough a specific return date has not yet been set, Golden State will hope that their superstar returns as soon as possible if it wants to win the championship again.

During their longest Eastern swing of the season, the Warriors had already dropped their first two games and then suffered losses to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Knicks, and the Brooklyn Nets.

The reigning Finals MVP provided an update on his recovery from the sidelines on TuesdayAs the Warriors attempted to overcome a 20-point halftime hole, Curry sustained an injury with around two minutes remaining in the third quarter. With 4:16 remaining in the third, he made a three-point play that pulled Golden State within 83-80.However, Curry attempted to block Pacers forward Jalen Smith’s dribble toward the baseline by extending his left arm. Smith went on, and Curry’s arm bowed awkwardly back. Hunched over on the floor, Curry grasped his shoulder before heading to the locker room during the subsequent timeout.

Curry was injured with about two minutes left in the third quarter of the game against Pacers“This is a tough stretch of the season and if Steph’s out, it gets tougher for sure,” coach Steve Kerr said after Curry’s injury.

“I think this team has shown that we can beat anybody if we’re healthy.” All we need to do is figure out how to get there.
