It is the first time that LeBron James has responded to a rumor that was published by ESPN regarding the Golden State Warriors making a daring move to acquire him before the trade deadline approached.
On Inside the NBA, which aired over All-Star Weekend, James finally released his comments regarding the incident.
“In all honesty, I was aware of it at the same time that everyone else was aware of it,” James stated. There are times when conversations take place behind closed doors, and you are not even aware of what is going on that is taking place. And I suppose that they will bring it to you till they determine whether or not it is real. However, I was never even affected by it.In addition, James disclosed to the crew of ‘Inside’ that his son, Bronny James, had not yet made a decision regarding whether or not he would join the NBA draft at the conclusion of his freshman season with the University of Southern California.
James said, “It is up to him, it is up to the kid.” it is up to him. “The entire procedure is going to be carried out by that group. To this day, he is still in season. … He is going to be competing in the Pac-12 tournament. We are going to consider all of the possibilities, and then we are going to let the child decide what path to take.
After that, Kenny Smith of TNT made a joke about how Bronny James probably does not feel a lot of pressure to get into the NBA and start generating money, given the wealth that the James family possesses. And with a chuckle, LeBron James stated, “It’s most certainly not financial.”
Despite the fact that Bronny is a more than adequate defender, he is only averaging 5.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 20 minutes per game. On any major mock draft, he is not included in the top sixty prospects that are being considered.
