LeBron James says he hopes to remain a Laker as his career draws to a close; ’50-50’ on if he wants farewell tour

LeBron James wants to finish his NBA career with the Lakers.

LeBron James, the great player for the Los Angeles Lakers, said to reporters before to the historic night in Indianapolis that he intended to complete his career as a Laker. James just established a new NBA record by making his 20th All-great appearance.

The four-time NBA champion continued by saying that, although he hasn’t “mapped out,” he has acknowledged that “it’s not that many” and that he is still considering the possibility of doing a farewell tour in his last year.

“I’m not sure if I will – I was asked this a few days ago – will you sort of just Tim Duncan it, or will you kind of take the farewell tour?” James mentioned the quiet mythology of the San Antonio Spurs.

I’ll be honest: I’m 50/50. There are moments when I feel like I think I owe it to my fans, who have followed me for over 20 years, to be able to give them that special moment where every city, or whatever the situation may be, gives you flowers, or whatever it is. That sounds very great.

On the other hand, I’ve never been very good at taking compliments. I have a strange feeling about it. I never really discussed it much, but I simply get a strange vibe about it. I’m not sure whether it means you have to travel to every city, however.

“I’ve seen the likes of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. I’ve seen plenty of me𝚗. I’m simply not sure how I would react. I’m not sure whether I would be happy about it. Perhaps I am just the lone kid in me.

For the last six seasons, James has expressed his happiness being a Laker and said, “Hopefully, it stays that way.”

According to Spotrac, James has a player option worth $51.4 million for the next season. He has the ability to reject it and become an unrestricted free agency.

“However, I am unsure of the duration or the uniform I will be wearing,” he said. “Hopefully, the Lakers will be involved.” There are many greats and it’s a great organization. However, we’ll see. It’s coming, albeit I’m not sure how it will finish. It will definitely arrive.

James showcased his signature dunk at the All-Star Game.

James, 39, has surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s previous record of 19 All Star appearances to stand alone as the player with the most.

NBA all-time leading scorer LeBron James said that although participating in an All-Star Game has always been a goal of his, reaching the 20th spot would have been unthinkable.

When asked what the NBA All-Star Game meant to him in his career, James replied, “I think as a kid growing up and loving the game of basketball and watching the NBA All-Star Weekend and seeing the Sunday game, I always had dreams and visions if I was able to play the game at a high level and give everything to the game, hopefully, I could be a part of that game someday.”

“Having the opportunity to walk the floor with the best players in the world every year of my career has been an incredible honor,” the athlete said. This is very humble and incredibly fortunate, and it’s something I will always remember. It is a component of my path.

James said that he would play for Team USA in the Olympics this summer as long as he stayed fit when asked whether he was still committed to doing so.

“I made a commitment to the Olympic team prior to the season, but it was obviously contingent upon my health,” I reminded myself. I am currently fit enough to play for the club and contribute at a level that I know I am capable of,” James said.

“My mind, body, and soul will be dedicated to representing Team USA and playing sports while showing the highest respect for our nation, if I am truly committed, which I am, to the team.”

Throughout his international Olympic career, James has contributed two gold medals and a bronze medal to the US me𝚗’s basketball team.
