Even though he was not chosen for this year’s All-Star Game, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green traveled to Indiana to take part in the festivities.
At Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Green put on a headset and joined Taylor Rooks and Charles Barkley for a different TNT broadcast of the game. Barkley and Green traded a lot of hilarious jabs throughout the show.Karl-Anthony Towns, the standout player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, was getting hot late in the game when Green once made a shot at him. Towns put up 18 of the last 20 points for the West, and after a late basket in the fourth quarter, Green made a joke about how this was a scenario that the former Timberwolves were used to.With 50 points to lead the game, Towns was unable to halt the Eastern Conference’s offensive rampage, as they amassed 211 points in a game, an NBA record.
Of fact, after making a significant improvement in 2023–24, the Timberwolves are no longer the same club. With a 39-16 record, Minnesota leads the Western Conference. Towns and fellow All-Star Anthony Edwards are important players in the team’s success.Green couldn’t resist making a humorous joke at the T-Wolves despite their impressive first half of the season after seeing Towns enjoy an offensive explosion during garbage time.
