Warriors tried to acquire LeBron James at trade deadline: ESPN's Woj

Beginning in the 2014–15 season, while James was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, James and the Warriors faced off in four consecutive NBA finals, with Golden State coming out on top three times. James’s career was defined by the Cavaliers’ 2016 NBA Finals triumph, when he rallied his club from a 3-1 deficit to win their first-ever championship. His rivalry with Curry was further cemented throughout those finals, as both players turned in many outstanding performances for their respective clubs.

James is still a productive player even if he is getting close to 40 years old and is not at his best. He is averaging 24.8 points per game and was selected as an NBA All-Star for the twentieth time this season.
