Father’s Day was spent by Jayson Tatum and his young son in a relaxed environment, during which he took in some profound thoughts.
Sunday, the 25-year-old NBA forward and his 5-year-old son Jayson “Deuce” Christopher were photographed on Instagram enjoying a day at a picturesque tropical location while rafting and lounging by the pool.
The couple is also seen posing together on a jet ski and a yacht in a series of photographs taken during their vacation.
“Deuce’s father,” Tatum wrote in the captions of the photos.
Tatum became the father of Deuce, who has since become a sensation among NBA players and the Boston Celtics, at the age of 19. Tatum and ex-girlfriend Toriah Lachell are the co-owners of Deuce.
In a June press conference, the NBA superstar, who gave birth to Deuce in December 2017 just six months after being drafted by the Celtics, discussed being a role model as a father and his close relationship with his son.
“In 2017, I was drafted without Deuce, but he was born that year, so that was significant; that was the most momentous year of my existence, correct? As she began this new phase of her career, Tatum disclosed, “I recently gave birth to a child.”
“I maintained the mindset that I would be the best possible father and basketball player; I had no intention of making any concessions,” the Boston Celtics star further elaborated. “Either no guideline existed or there was no specific method to follow.” Everything revolved around what was inherent to nature.”I do whatever comes naturally to me.” It seems as though I am in his presence daily. “I feel as though we’re growing up together, given that I was 19 years old when I was drafted,” Tatum explained. “It’s been a privilege to share this journey with you.” “As he has grown larger, I have been traversing my professional trajectory, sharing these moments and growing older alongside him. “In my opinion, it is the most intriguing aspect.”
