On Wednesday night in San Francisco, the Golden State Warriors honored the memory of Dejan Milojevic by cruising to a 134-112 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. Onathan Kuminga tied a franchise record by making all 11 of his shots in a performance that resulted in 25 points, and the Warriors also honored the memory of Dejan Milojevic.
Milojevic, a former Hawks summer-league coach and three-year Warriors assistant, passed away on January 17 after suffering a heart attack at a Golden State team dinner the previous night in Salt Lake City. The evening opened with a tribute to Milojevic, which was performed on the floor.
As the Warriors played their first game in nine days after two postponements, they responded to the emotional pregame ceremony with a 38-point first quarter and hardly looked back in breaking a two-game losing streak. The Warriors were playing their first game in nine days.
The Golden State Warriors were led by Stephen Curry, who scored 25 points, and Klay Thompson, who scored 24 points.
Without Trae Young, who was out due to a concussion, the Hawks were unable to win either of their two games during their three-day trip to Northern California. Jalen Johnson scored 21 points and Dejounte Murray scored 23 points for the Hawks.

For Golden State, which shot 56 percent overall and 48.5 percent (16 of 33) on three-point attempts, Kuminga also found time to record a team-high nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Kuminga also led the team in overall rebounding.
For the Warriors, Curry had a game-high eight assists, and Thompson had a shooting percentage of five for ten from beyond the arc. Both players shot five for eight from three-point range.
In his second game since being suspended for 16 consecutive games, Draymond Green contributed to the victory by scoring 12 points, grabbing five rebounds, dishing out three assists, and stealing two steals. There were also three players on the Golden State Warriors who scored in double figures: Andrew Wiggins (12), Dario Saric (10), and Brandin Podziemski (10).
Murray went 7-for-19 and Johnson shot 8-for-16 for the Hawks, who finished with a cumulative shooting percentage of 41.5 percent and a 3-point shooting percentage of 32.6 percent (14 of 43). Johnson had nine rebounds and six assists, while Murray had seven rebounds and a team-high seven assists. Murray also found time to add seven assists to his total.
Among the Hawks, Saddiq Bey contributed 18 points, Bogdan Bogdanovic had 17 points, and Patty Mills put up 13 points. Clint Capela had the sole double-double of the game, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, which was the highest total in the game.
On February 3, the clubs will play the final game of their season series, which consists of two games.
