Pacers Acquire Pascal Siakam in Blockbuster Trade, Parting Ways with Bruce Brown and Three Valuable First-Round Picks

The Pacers’ first-round picks in 2024 and 2026 are among the draft selections that are going to be sent to the Raptors. A third and final first-round pick will be acquired by the Pacers in 2024. This pick will be determined by which of the following teams is the worst: the Jazz, Rockets, Clippers, or Thunder. As of January 17, the Pacers would have the No. 27 pick via Oklahoma City.

Siakam, who is eligible to enter free agency this summer, is currently finishing the season with an average of 22.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. After being selected in the first round in 2016, he has been selected to the All-Star team twice and has won a championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

Brown, on the other hand, signed a contract with the Pacers that was worth $45 million over two years and two years ago, following his championship victory with the Nuggets in June. In Indiana, he was given a larger role, and he accomplished a career-high 12.1 points per game while playing in 33 games this season.

Having missed the postseason for the past three seasons, the Pacers have made a move that indicates they are fully committed to this season. At the moment, Indiana is tied for sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23-17.
