On Sunday, the Phoenix Suns (21-18) defeated the Portland Trail Blazers (10-29) 127-116 to complete their three-game road trip.
The Suns’ triumph was their second in a row.
In their eighth game together, Phoenix’s Big 3 of Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant led the way. Booker led the game with 34 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Beal finished with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, five assists, and two steals. Durant had 21 points (50% from the field), six assists, and five rebounds.
Phoenix’s starters all scored in double figures, with Grayson Allen adding 20 points and Jusuf Nurkic contributing 14.
The Trail Blazers’ rookie point guard Scoot Henderson led the team with 33 points (11-of-31 FG), nine assists, and three steals, while Anfernee Simons scored 28 points and five assists in the loss.
After the Suns led by 14 with 10:31 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Trail Blazers responded on a 12-2 run to cut the advantage to five over the following four minutes.
Phoenix closed the quarter on a 14-6 surge, fueled by assists and field goals from Booker, Beal, and Durant.
The Suns will play the Sacramento Kings at home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
