For the Dallas Cowboys, was this the year? In the 2023 NFL season, the formidable Cowboys were predicted to have the simplest path to the Suρer Bowl thanks to their impressive 12-5 regular season record.

The scenario was set for head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott to lead the Cowboys to a traditional NFC Championship game this season. They were fortunate enough to play two straight home games against teams who were overachievers before facing the overwhelming favorites, the San Francisco 49ers, in the NFC Championship game.

However, as it turned out, the Cowboys suffered a humiliating 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card game played on Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The bulk of the NFL world, including former players like Dez Bryant and Richard Sherman as well as TV celebrities like Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith, was taken aback by the shоcking loss.

Following the Cowboys’ loss, NBA player and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James saw the ideal moment to poke fun at Bryant on X, the previous Twitter platform. He posted on Twitter:

Prior to the game, Bryant exuded confidence that the Cowboys would easily defeat the underdog Packers squad in order to advance to the Wild Card Game. The former wide receiver for the Cowboys tweeted many times, hoping for a victory for Prescott and company at home.
