The Miami Heat revealed on Saturday night that a bronze monument honoring Dwyane Wade would be placed outside Kaseya Center. LeBron James congratulated his old colleague on Instagram.
Wade and the Heat brought Miami another title before the King arrived, but James, 39, earned two rings with them. Together, they were also defeated by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
“Trey, congratulations! Wade hearing the news of the monument was captured on Instagram Stories, and James wrote, “That’s major.”
Pat Riley certainly doesn’t think his team deserves a monument, but the Cleveland Cavaliers do.
Should the Lakers give LeBron James a statue?
In fact, James is more likely to get a monument in Miami than in Los Angeles. But his tenure with the Lakers is far from over.A statue may really come to pass if James wins another ring with the Purple & Gold, particularly in light of his previous recent accomplishments.Wearing a Purple & Gold outfit, James led his team to victory in the first NBA In-Season Tournament and overtook Lakers star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the league’s all-time top scorer.
